New Year’s Day Surprise Proposal in Whitefish, Montana
Proposal photo sessions can be a bit daunting for both the person proposing and the photographer! There is a lot of secret planning that goes into these photos and I absolutely love the adrenaline rush of capturing such special moments. Brady reached out and was totally up for whatever plan I created for them, which I greatly appreciate!

How to Have a Sunrise Session in Glacier and Why you Should Do it!
Regardless of peak season or not, the best way to make sure we get started on time is to plan on getting to the parking area around 1 hour before sunrise. Yep. You read that correctly. That means arriving around 4 am in the summer and 6:30 am in the fall. I'm not kidding!
Many things can happen, causing delays - weather, animals on the road, wrecks, and traffic. With the correct preparations, none of these are worrisome! I also highly recommend bringing snacks, water, and hiking boots (depending on where we are shooting!)
In summer, it is required to have a reservation on the west side of Glacier from 6am-3pm ($2) and a general entrance pass ($30), however many sessions require you to get in the park well before that to get the good lighting!

An Intimate Proposal Photo Session at Lake Mcdonald in Glacier National Park
Capturing this fleeting moment was a privilege and a joy. The raw emotion, the overwhelming happiness, the stunning backdrop of Glacier National Park – all these elements came together to create a memory that will last a lifetime. And moments like these remind me of why I love what I do. Photography is more than just taking pictures; it is about capturing moments, telling stories, and preserving memories. It is about freezing time so we can relive the beauty and emotion of a single moment for years to come. And in a place as magnificent as Glacier National Park, those moments are truly special.
